We have a Fanvil i63 SIP Door Phone set up to release a maglock using code "1122" (All extensions and code numbers have been randomized.)

Press the call button on the Fanvil and it rings reception 3CX extension successfully. After talking to and validating the visitor, the receptionist presses 1122 on the 3CX keypad, mag lock is disabled letting them in. That works fine. However, if I set up a Custom Speed Dial on the same 3CX extension to send the same 1122 digits and it is pressed during the call with the visitor, it is seen by 3CX server as an outside call from the Fanvil ext and does not work. Also tried *1122, 1,1,2,2 to slow down the dialing sequence, no joy.

Spent a couple of days on this. Both the Fanvil and 3CX use RFC2833 for DTMF. Tried various combos of DTMF settings on the Fanvil with no advancement. It interprets the digits of the release code as a dialed number.

Anybody else seen this?

Code:
06/21/2024 11:05:52 AM - [CM503014]: Call(C:63130): No known route from Extn:532 to target: <sip:[email protected]:0/tcp>
06/21/2024 11:05:52 AM - Call(C:63130): from Extn:532 to 1122 doesn't match any outbound rule. No outbound rule could be selected.
06/21/2024 11:05:52 AM - [Flow] Target endpoint for 1122 can not be built!
06/21/2024 11:05:52 AM - [CM503010]: Call(C:63130): Making route(s) from Extn:532 to <sip:[email protected]:0/tcp>
06/21/2024 11:05:52 AM - [Flow] Refer: RefTo=<sip:[email protected]:0>; was call from=<sip:[email protected]:0> to="Reception" <sip:[email protected]:5060>

I'm pretty sure that pushing a BLF in an active call is always interpreted as "transfer the call to the BLF stored number", even when using Custom Speed Dial.

What's the attached device talking to the door phone?

I was following this forum post here (which didn't work for me):
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/video-phone-access-control-with-fanvil-devices-question.75346/

"What's the attached device talking to the door phone?"

The reception phone is a 3CX Softphone (tried web version as well) and the call button on the Fanvil dials it directly whenever someone presses the call bar. The maglock is wired in to the ports on the rear of the Fanvil. It interrupts power to the maglock on successful code entry. In theory, there should be no difference between dialing on the key pad and the Custom Speed Dial, so I'm suspecting it's something on the Fanvil settings misinterpreting them.

Any chance you can test with an IP phone and verify it happens the same there?

Same result with hard phone. * works as a speed dial, but four digit code is dialed as a number through the Fanvil.

Maybe someone else will have an idea for you. I think it's working as designed, but the post you linked says otherwise. I was hoping maybe it was a 3cx vs ip phone thing, but unlikely.

I do believe it's an internal setting in the Fanvil I need to change, but this is the first one I've worked with. DTMF is usually quite easy to do. The web GUI for this device is VERY comprehensive and the help bubbles are not very informative.

Contacted Fanvil tech support and they suggest using a URL to trigger the unlock, so that avenue looks to be closed.

I have it working for the manual keypad and that will have to do for now. I appreciate your taking the time to assist.
