I have been working on a custom template for the Fanvil X4u, x5u, X6u line of phones for my clients.
I have fixed most of it, for which there is already coding, but I am unsure where to place the code for the missed call popup option

Can I place it in the template one time, or do I have to in multiple places?

<MissedCallPopup>0</MissedCallPopup>

Any ideas?

What multiple places are you referring to? And if you've already been customizing the template it seems pretty easy to test. Are you saying to put that in the template and it's not working?

Yes, I have placed it in the template one locatino at a time, but in multiple locations, and have yet to be able to get the phone to accept the setting.
I am testing with a single X6U, once I get it working I'll need it to work with the X3u, X4u, X5u, X6u phones.

Are you looking at the generated config after placing? Or are you doing a full phone provision to figure out if it's working. The former is a lot faster. Generally I config in the the phone and then dump the config so I know what it should look like, and then edit the template to recreate.

Cobaltit,

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I modified the phone from the Web UI, then dumped the config as an xml file.
That helped me tremendously in fixing things like the backlight options (adding a value in for 54000 keeps the phones lit form my customers), which already had entries in the 3CX template.
I just added
<option value="Always On">
<item name="blktime">54000</item>
</option>

What I am trying to do is add variables which are not in the template, like
<AppIconDisplay>0,0,0,0</AppIconDisplay> (which turns off the four icons in the middle of the screen)
<MissedCallPopup>0</MissedCallPopup> (which turns off the Missed Call Popup, which is VERY annoying for call queue and ring group members)

3CX's Template sections do not match up with the Fanvil config sections, so I am thinking that 3CX is parsing the template for specific variables, and my not allow new ones to be added. Not sure, first time editing a 3CX template, but I used to do lots of configuration files for Polycom phones on Asterisk systems.
