Fanvil X3S firmware upgrade from 2.6.0.5850 to 2.8.0.6251 failing

I have a problem with the Fanvil X3S, it shows on the management console that there is a new firmware i need to upgrade to but when i click upgrade nothing happens it is failing. See the print screen of the firmware i'm upgrading from and to. Any suggestions please?

What version is your 3CX system and can you also tell us if the extension is local/SBC/STUN ?

@JohnS_3CX this particular extension i'm struggling with is on an SBC and the 3cx system is on the current version which is V15.5. But we s\do have some other extensions on a STUN as well

Can the phone be reprovisioned remotely via PNP? The firmware should be delivered via HTTPS on the same port as provisioning. If so, then reset the phone and reprovision, and try upgrading again

We were able to upgrade a Fanvil X3S over SBC from 2.6.0.5850 to 2.8.0.6251 successfully using the above method

@JohnS_3CX we did try that, we reset the phones and did via PNP provisioning and still it is not upgrading the firmware. What else could be the problem?

@Coltar Can you access the phone's UI? Check to see that the phone is indeed still on 2.6.0.5850 and then lets see if the phone can be upgraded manually at least.

Also, what exact PBX version are you running? You can see the exact build number on the Dashboard, under the Information column next to the licence version. For example 15.5.15502.6.

The version of the PBX is 15.5.15502.6 and unfortunately we can't remotely log into the phones to confirm the actual firmware of the phones.

Can you manually download the firmware of the phone from the remote site? You should be able to use the provisioning link of the phone to download the firmware from a browser on the remote site.
For example:
https://<FQDN>:5001/provisioning/<Random_provisioning_folder>/firmware_new/fanvil/x3s2.8.0.6251.z
Or if the file has been moved to the firmware folder:
https://<FQDN>:5001/provisioning/<Random_provisioning_folder>/firmware/fanvil/x3s2.8.0.6251.z

If you can download it from the browser then the phones should be able to download it as well.
