We have recently added 50 Fanvil X4U handsets to our deployment and we are periodically receiving a message on the handsets stating update failed.

I have checked and all the handsets are on the latest available firmware 1.0.2 - has anyone else deployed the X4U handsets and getting this error?

Although the message does not appear to affect operation - it is more of an annoyance to the users.

Yes, we have installed 50 + Fanvil X5u and X6u and having the same problem.

We even tried to turn off pop up messages in the Fanvil Phones. Customers are complaining every day.

We are using Direct Sip (Stun Remote)

Fanvil has new software to take care of this. I email their support and it is ready. Waiting on Fanvil and 3cx to release it. They sent the new software to me however I do not want to upgrade 100 phones so I am waiting for 3cx to push it out.

This is great! I have over 75 Fanvil X6U having the same problem.

I found if I selected "update after reboot" and NOT the default setting "over time intervals" in the Fanvil GUI under the update options, the message goes away but hey that was 1 for phone not 50.

+1 same issue with X4U X5U & X6U

+1, yes, only half a dozen X6U we've got out there at this stage, previous X5S were fine

+1 same issue with X7

New firmware showing today for Fanvil X6U and X210, up to 1.0.4 from 1.0.2

Any idea on release notes?

Fanvil website hasn't changed in months showing last firmware is original 1.0.0

yep - I have clients complaining about this.. it worries them and makes them not trust the system

It seems the latest firmware fixed the failure issue here, but i would really just like to get rid of the screen pop all together it is very annoying. Don't recall this on any other phone, OK to alert if failure but be silent if updated correctly...

It fixed the failure message here too, but like illcsales it now pops up with downloading etc every so often which is just as bad as the failed message.

It still lights up the screen when doing so, and comments are that people look to their phone when the screen comes on(guessing they are conditioned to it from mobiles)

+1 here
