Our 3cx phone system has been running for about a year now with no major problems.
We have 5 different sites with 1 of them being the main one that runs the 3cx software.
However recently I upgraded the handsets as requested by the 3cx software to the latest supported version 1.12.8. (From 1.12.5)
At 1 of our external sites (which is connected using air fiber units over a 7km link) we have 5 Fanvil x5s handsets. All 5 upgraded successfully but only 1 is working properly.
In the 3cx software all phones show up fine and connected. However on the handsets that dont work I get the message 'Sip register failed'. The BSS numbers show up in the list but no lights come on next to them. Occasionally the sip register messages goes away and shows that its working. A call starts to get made but times out and then the sip register message flashes again.
I have factory reset the phones. I have now replaced one of the non working handsets with a spare I had running an old version. It registers and works fine.
All this leads me to believe that something has changed in the new firmware to how the phones are registering for SIP. My firewall rules havent changed or any network gear that I know of.
If anyone has any ideas on what to try or even how to downgrade the firmware easily please let me know ASAP
Thanks
