Maybe best to speak with Fanvil directly for this.

Did you have any joy with fixing this?

From what I recall, the Fanvil X series has reached its end of life and has been replaced by the XS series, if I'm not mistaken.

Based on my experience with several clients, the Fanvil X series struggled with resources and would eventually freeze (if I remember correctly, it was the RAM that would get saturated, though I might be wrong).

Ultimately, the solution was to replace them with the new series, which included more resources.

That said, it’s possible that Fanvil has addressed the RAM consumption issue, or that it may not occur with your devices for the way you intend to use them.

My only aim was to share my experience, which dates back a few years now. :)

Yes correct the X series if now legacy, the XS series will also be in the same boat soon :)

I have reviewed your pictures, and the device is X6U, not X6, correct? (As Guillaume mentioned, the X6 has been EOL for many years.) I have attached documentation regarding entering POST mode and upgrading in POST mode for your reference.

Hello,
You mentioned that you tried pressing the "#," but did you press it at the right time?

  1. Turn off the device: Ensure the device is completely powered off before beginning the reset process.
  2. Wait for the MWI signal: After turning the device back on, wait for the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) to illuminate and then extinguish. As soon as it lights up again, press the "#" button immediately.

Hello,

The MWI light turns on and stays on forever; it never goes off.

any other ideas?

its different.

see video:

i have now 20 Phones that are not working!

if i have no Solution, i have to switch to Grandstream or Snom Phones!
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you please leave your email address and we will arrange for someone to check it for you. If it is inconvenient, you can also send an email to [email protected] and someone will check it for you.

Thanks
