I have configured the fax server properly. And in fact sent a test fax that was picked up by the PBX. I also received a confirmation that the fax did send but it is not emailing any PDF.

I tested the SMTP which is using the basic 3CX SMTP relay and I did receive that email.

Baffled....

Hi @greatchoice,

Can you set the email address that receives faxes to the email address found in Settings >> Email >> Notifications?

Does you receive it once changed?

Yea. Like I said. The email works. It’s my personal email which is a Gmail. Nothing comes through but I get the test email if I send a test

Hi @greatchoice,

Can you send a fax, then check in the 3cxSystemService.log and see a confirmation message is generated. It should look something like this:

2021/06/04 14:00:26.854|4548|0021|Info|pdf was created successfully
2021/06/04 14:00:26.854|4548|0021|Info|Fax C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Fax\Faxes\ToSend\fax_xxxxxxxxxxx_no1.pdf will be sent to xxxxxxxxxxxx

Don’t have windows

I use a VM running Linux Debian 10. No clue how to access that. Maybe you can assist with that

Hi @greatchoice,

In that case, simply access the Management Console >> Dashboard >> Activity Log >> Logs >> Instance and open the log file from there.

Hi @greatchoice

A "dn" in 3CX usually refers to an extension or a system entity so I would check your configuration one more time and make sure that everything is set up correctly.
Also I believe I have seen these logs before in a ticket. Did you also open a ticket about this with our support department? If so we can have a better look at it there.

I already did a ticket, nothing yet. Its a brand new installation. There is also no configurations on the fax server except, email address and what phone number. Do i need to assign 888 as an extension as well?

Hi @greatchoice,

You do not need to assign 888 to an extension, no. Let's see what Support finds which should shed some light on this. Feel free to update this thread with a summary of their findings to help others who may encounter the same errors.
