Final Stop to V20: Release Candidate 3

Thanks for the update!

Its a shame that Scheduled Reports still isnt included in this update as it is number 1 request from clients whom have been used to using V18. Fingers crossed that Update 1 doesnt take that long to come out.

Hello - Scheduled reports will be included in the next update.

One problem with providers in V20 is that you can't change the domain name of the providers. As we use a 3CX preferred provider in Australia. They have servers in different states that we can force connection to by-way of a change to the domain name used to connect, which now is not available. I assume this means we will have to use generic and get the red alarm even though we are using a preferred provider. :(

Noted. We are currently discussing this.

If you go in the provider template and add this line
<tags>registrar</tags>
Then you will be able to see it in the UI. But then you make your template custom which defeats the scope.

when clicking on fax or fax server it takes me back to people. can someone reproduce or confirm this?
Unable to reproduce - Can you open this on a new clean cached browser?
Open devtools and send me what you see in private message.

What's wrong with this?

Or in outbound rules

Hi - Yes I disliked it too. But once you get used to it, you might be okay.

See if you can get a hang of it - So you can put a number in there and it changes to custom. But if you have an assigned DID (2 controls below) then you can select the did from the dropdown. So this control serves 2 purposes. You can enter a custom outbound cid and you can also select one of your assigned DID's to show as caller ID.

@edossantos where are you hiding? :p Come out. :)
Bring us the new version of the CallFlow tool, come! xD
Be nice, emerge from your little hiding spot, share with your friends, they want the CallFlow tool too.
Don't be shy! ☺️

I say this in a humorous tone .xD:p:p

Hi, just updated RC3 my demo PBX finely in few seconds.
Thanks 3CX DEV TEAM for your hard work. Be the force with you ;)
it seems there's a weird thing in trunk options.
if you deploy options from top to bottom, you can't open the last one (codec options)
now you close everything and that time you do the opening from bottom to top options and this way you can have it all displayed.

Problem is no more there, so it was me or my pc doing wrong, Thanks Yiannis have had an eye on this.

Guillaume Bourgeois he's on holiday :)
It's very well deserved, although you don't need my permission to grant him his vacation, I gladly approve of it! LOL

As always, @Nick Galea your development team has done some great work! Thank you for all these restored features, and even more.

Thanks

I just setup a v20 test system, and for the life of me i cant get it to make outbound calls! Inbound is working just great.

When placing an outbound call, it states there is no route for the call...

I have tried to set outbound caller id to:

+1626xxxxxxx (real number used)
1626xxxxxxx
626xxxxxxx

Tried all combinations, extension used is member of default group

tried using 7 digits and prepend +1626
tried using 10 digits and prepend +1
tried using 10 digits and prepend 1
tried using 11 digits no strip or prepend
tried using 11 strip +

I have plenty of v18 systems running and no issue placing outbound calls but v20 seems to be a much harder challenge...

any suggestions or help appriciated

Go back to the Voice & Chat tab, modify the trunk, and ensure it's limit to the correct department or set to "System Wide."

Then, adjust the outbound rule.

Does the problem still persist?

I might be missing something but how does a user or company that has desk phones and does not have any headsets or microphones record a company greeting? I can' find any options to record with a desk phone for things like the digital receptionists prompts?
Also any Digital receptionists that were set to the DTMF option before the upgrade are now not accessible and there is no longer this option to be able to set?
We noticed this, too. Every v20-like record button should have a 'record by extension callback' button ('Make call') next to it.
Being able to record by deskphone is elementary as deskphones are still common.

Fax to email: I see in v20 that the fax server is available to email to a single email address but no longer see a way to direct different fax numbers to different email addresses. In version 18, you could direct them to different extensions with different emails. Does version 20 require all fax numbers have the emails sent to a single email address?

Upgraded, but still no dial code for forcing the system in or out of office, is this feature going to return?

Regarding your question, the dial codes to force the system in and out of office hours are not available in v20.

This feature is now under the department level and is triggered by the webclient, or PWA logged in with a user who has the appropriate role to override office hours:

We are still working on this, might require update 1

I'm very curious, lol.

You always seem to « know everything » about the development progress of 3CX.
I understand that you're the CEO, :p but that doesn't explain how you manage to stay on top of every little detail! Hahaha. Where I live, there are only 24 hours in a day. xD
Do you have daily meetings with the developers?
Do you code along with other developers? o_O

Regardless, it's impressive! It's truly appreciated to have access to all these answers so quickly, I say sincerely. Thanks
