Just installed 3CX 16 and everything seems to be working well, but the firewall test fails with the following error

testing port 5060... used by '3CXPhoneSystem':1804

I have.a firewall port forwarding rule (among others as per 3CX instructions) to forward all traffic on TCP/UDP port 5060 to the IP address of the 3CX server. Isn't 3CX supposed to use port 5060 (TCP/UDP) among other ports?

Hi Frank,

That doesnt look like its referring to port 1804, its looks like its relating to the process ID, as in the process isnt stopping to be able to do the firewall test (when you run the test all 3cx services are stopped so the port is not in use)

As above, you could try stopping '3CXPhoneSystem' service and running the firewall test

Good idea. I'll try that.

All 3CX services stops alone no? when firewall test is started, so what is the need to stop manually?

They should but, in this case, one of them gets stuck on Stop Pending and can't be stopped or restarted manually. I have to reboot the 3CX server to get it going again. This may be the cause of the issue.

What operating system In the 3cx server running in

what other services / application are running on the machine

if windows have you exclude the 3cx folders from antivirus scanning

The server is running Windows 10 (like a couple of others at other locations, which have no issues).
No other services or apps or network adapters are running on the machine. It's dedicated to 3CX.
No, the 3CX folders are not excluded from antivirus scanning. Like the other W10 machines, it's running the built-in antivirus, but I can exclude 3CX folders from it. It's a good idea.

Hi,

The SIP, Queue, IVR, Call Flow and Media services are stopped at the right moment as needed to complete the tests.

Ensure you do not have anything else running on your PBX machine, not even the 3CX Windows client.
