Is there any way to forward to a call to just a prompt, for example outside of office hours? Maybe I'm missing a way.

Just now I'm doing it forwarding to a IVR with every option set to End Call and if no DTMF to End Call too. The problem with this is that there is no way I can find to configure that IVR to don't allow to dial a extension and besides the End Call action says "Thank you. Goodbye" before hanging the call. Really annoying.

I know I can replace that prompt that says "Thank you. Goodbye" to a silent prompt but I don't know where else it can be used.

You could forward to an extensions voicemail with no audible options, and a loooong silence, or busy tone, after the message to "encourage" the caller to hang up.

You would need to use CFD to accomplish this if you aren't happy with the current workaround. There is no straight announcement destination like you get with FreePBX

Thanks @leejor and @cobaltit for the suggestions.

I will look into CFD because I will have to deal with some other logic as a ring group with office hours different than the general office hours. I read about dummy extensions to achieve that but CFD is probably better to code these behaviours not available by default.

I have an extension with different office hours already but I don't like the way it works just changing the status to DND as that prevents internal calls from working either so that's another one to try with CFD.

@manfer Not sure what your timing is for this but I know there are some changes coming up with CFD in v16. It might be worthwhile to spin up a v16 alpha instance to check out the changes.

I suppose the v15.5 CFD apps will be compatible with v16. Anyway, if not so, not a problem. The apps for these logics are very simple.

- One that just plays a prompt. (if I finally need this one)

- And other just with a datetime condition which if match forwards to a extension (or a ring group) and otherwise plays a prompt.

So simple logics that If I have to build them again for v16 is not a problem.

I have just created one with a datetime condition today to refresh how to use CFD and it is really easy to make the app and deploy it.

Thanks again.
