Hi

We have a client running the 1 year free license for 3CX and we've run into issues. The FQDN now shows released after the client advised they cannot access the admin URL via the .3cx.com subdomain, and also the phone apps no longer work as the domain does not resolve.

We've read that we can try to restart all services on the 3CX Hyper-V VM after hours and if that doesn't work, backup (minus the FQDN config.) then reinstall 3CX and restore, registering to the same FQDN upon install. But is there any other option? And can you tell us why the FQDN and IP was released??

Thanks
Logan

Hello @IT360

Please note that the only way for a free key to be released from the FQDN is to manually release it through the costumer portal. Currently even if the one year is reached the key will auto renew for another year with 4SC.

You can try restarting the services of the PBX and see if that rebinds the licence with the FQDN. If that fails you will need to re-install the system with the procedure you described.
