For the last few days i have been getting frequent disconnections of the SIP trunk resulting in calls being dropped and delay to come back.
I use 3cx hosted instance with a supported SIP provider, Modulus in Greece. I have already contacted them and they cannot see any issues from their end. I enabled verbose logging and i can see it fails with
Registration failed for: Lc:10001(@modulus-Main[<sip:[email protected]:0/UDP>]); Cause: Cause: 408 Request Timeout/REGISTER from local
and the email i receive from 3CX is
Registration at modulus-Main has failed.
Destination (sip:185.73.43.250:5060;lr) is not reachable, DNS error resolving FQDN, or service is not available.
I have been constantly pinging the the voips.modulus.gr (which resolves to the above IP) i haven't received a single timeout during the time the SIP was down so I would exclude problem from the provider's side or DNS error.
After the that it seems to take 2 minutes to try again so we are practically left each times with 2 minutes out of service in addition to the dropped calls.
Any ideas what to look for next?
