I have been having an issue with voicemails where they get jumbled up in the recordings, a person will be talking in the voicemail, sometimes they just cut out, and sometimes their voice starts talking over themselves. I have researched into the codecs and changing those and have not had any luck.

@ethoplexinternet if you call from an internal extension and leave a vmail, do you have the same issue ? Try this first to exclude some factors.

Just tested that, it still does it from internal extensions.

Call recordings are fine, it only seems to be affecting voicemails

Are voicemails set to be transcribed?

is it happenings on all VM boxes?

Transcriptions are turned off.

This is happening with all mailboxes

What is the spec of your system?

Runs on a debian virtual machine on proxmox, 4 cpu's and 16gb of RAM.

is this a new install or has just come about?

assume you've tried a reboot?

does anything else exist on the VM apart from 3CX?

This is an existing install we have had for years, this issue just recently popped up. I have tried rebooting.

No, there shouldn't be anything on that VM other than 3CX.

Can you confirm the time is correct on the server?

if you download a voicemail does it play normally?

Time is correct.

If I download the voicemails, they behave the same way

As a suggestion, please confirm that the hardware specifications assigned to the system's host machine meet the requirements for the number of extensions created in the system. https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/

Additionally, ensure that the Firewall Test found under Admin > Dashboard > Troubleshooting completes successfully.

If these checks have already been performed, we recommend opening a support ticket so the issue can be reproduced with Verbose logging enabled, along with a packet capture. This will allow us to gather the necessary information to properly investigate and advise.

We exceed the recommended specs and I ran the firewall checker and it came back OK.

How do I open a support ticket, we are part of some Partner program but I don't see support available to us

Hello,

Contact the Customer Care team if unsure how to open a ticket, but the option can be found in the partner portal:

That support option in the partner portal only gives me the option to Buy Support

Thats the way to go... as bronze partner you need to buy support.

Unfortunately.

tbf I dont see Proxmox listed as a supported hypervisor so they may not be that willing to help in the first instance.

How many more 3CX instances you got running off this hypervisor? are they problematic too?

Can you upload a copy of a voicemail? Curious to know what it sounds like.

Oh, yes. Proxmox isnt supported but shouldnt be an problem. But there is no support for this.
