Hi guys,

At some of our customers we are working with Gigaset N870 DECT systems running on the local LAN with an SBC for provisioning. The server they are provisioned at is a cloud-server hosted by one of our partners (so the server is not under our control beyond the 3CX web UI).
A lot of times I get told that the phones aren't working. After logging in on their 3CX environment I can see the users as ''Offline''. I log into the N870 Dect Manager and everything looks good (phones are connected to the users, users are set as registered) Note: the users appear offline in 3CX, but online in the Dect Manager.

After a reboot it is working again, but I would like to solve this problem once and for all. Do any of you have any recommendations in which places to look or troubleshoot? Cause I really have no clue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Firstly ensure that your N870 firmware is updated.

Following the above steps should lead you to install v2.44

Then, you could factory reset and reprovision the base, just to make sure there is nothing leftover in the settings that could cause you trouble.

Finally, you need to monitor it for a while and see if it gets disconnected again. Since you are using an SBC, find your SBC under the SIP Trunks section, select it, and look at the Statistics tab to see if the uptime was reset recently, and the percentage of loss if any. Also make sure it is updated in case the SBC is out of date. The machine you run your SBC on is also important. If it has network/stability issues, it might drop causing the phones to deregister.
