Hey all,
I've been tackling this problem a few days now, have been through and through the forums and user guides but haven't gotten anywhere.
I've connected a GoIP1 to 3cx, incoming and outgoing calls work great, audio quality is great. My problem is that DTMF detection is horrible. It detects keypresses maybe 20% of the time.
The gateway is set to transmit DTMF as Outband RFC 2833. Outband signalling works 20% of the time. Trying to transmit inband does no detection at all (0% success rate). Whether the signaling is set to outband or inband, DTMF tones are still heard on the audio stream.
This guide was followed to connect the gateway to 3CX:

Here are some scenarios I've went through:
Customer calls in > routed to IVR > Selects digit '2' > Call routes properly (most times)
Customer calls in > routed to IVR > selects digit '1' > Call does not route. The digit '1' is almost never detected.
Customer calls in > connects with an extension > call quality is great > customer presses their keypad (any digit) > audio becomes choppy, you can hear an inband DTMF tone trying to make it's way through (just barely). If an extension dials a digit while in a call, you can hear the inband DTMF tone perfectly clear on the customer end and the call audio is not affected.
So outgoing DTMF (Extension > 3CX Server > Gateway > External phone network) seems to work fine.
Incoming DTMF (External phone network > Gateway > 3CX Server) is having issues.
I believe the issue lies either within the GoIP gateway (trying to do something funky with the audio stream when passing DTMF), or the communication between 3CX and the gateway is not handling inbound DTMF properly. If I remove the SIM from the gateway and place it into a cell phone, inband DTMF tones go through fine both ways. I'm aware that the signaling should be outband, but I'm mentioning what's going on with the inband audio as well in hopes that it helps identify a solution.
Wireshark dump attached, note that each digit was selected only once. I see multiple entries for each digit that was detected. All digits 1-9 were pressed on the keypad, but not all were detected.
