grandstream fxs gateway GXW4004

Hi,

I do not see the grandstream GXS4004 on the supported website. I tried to add the FXS/DECT into 3cx system and I do not see that model. Is there a way to add it manually? or this is not supported? Please advise. Thank you

This is a FXS and not a FXO.

If the GXW4004 (4 FXS ports with PSTN life line Gateway) is not listed in the supported device list, then there is no template available, so if you want to use the device with 3CX you have to program it manually.

If gateway doesn't exist in 3CX then you are alone on unsupported way, and need to set it manually

After some digging I found an (very) old template from 2015 that was suitable for 3CX v14.
I don't know if it works with 3CX v16.

Any SIP compliant device can, in theory, be added manually. There is a lot of information on the device available. If you are familiar with it, and SIP, and feel comfortable doing some trouble shooting if things don't work at first, then you should not have in issue. That being said, if your 3CX is hosted (gateway and 3CX are NOT on the same network, then you may be asking for a major headache and would be better of choosing a supported device. It all depend how much time you are willing to spend on this. You could, after all, look at it as a "learning experience", but if there is some urgency in getting the phones working, you might reconsider.

Yeah, i just need some guideline to try to configure it. Not a big deal if it doesn't work. I mean if i needed it to work i'll just buy a device that is compitale with 3cx. Make life ez. . Plus its cheaper to get the older model of grandstream.
