Have been researching for weeks with no luck. Probably a basic thing for a 3CX pro.

We have our system setup and are making and receiving calls on our PC softphones and Android apps, however, we've recently added the Desktop Phones to the network.

We can call out no worries, however, they phones don't appear to register in 3cx and can't receive calls as part of the Ring Group, or transfer internally.
I've obviously missed something.

I've added the phone to the user extension in 3cx (with MAC address), however it doesn't show up in 'Phones' list.

In the Event log I have this message:

RPS request for GrandStream GRP-2615 IP Phone of USERXXXX (Desktop Phone) (13) delivered successfully
3CX Phone System Management Console ID: 10018 05/31/2021 1:26:57 PM

Any advice on what i've missed would be appreciated.

An extra point is that we have had a couple of client calls come through to the Grandstream phone on 2 occasions, however, the rest of the Ring group did not ring.

Hi Matthew,

This part above tells me you have set up the phones as STUN (implying the phones are in a different location from the PBX). They will not appear in the "Phones" tab unless they are registered in this case.

STUN deployments have additional requirements and are often problematic when those requirements are not met.

You can either install a 3CX SBC which largely solves all those problems, or you can ensure all the prerequisites are met.

PS: Don't forget to update your phone firmware before you proceed

Thanks for the help jcostlow & JohnS_3CX

I've since set up a RaspberryPi SBC and everything is now working correctly.

Cheers.
