Grandstream GXP2200ext lights

I am testing a Grandstream GXP2140 w/ the 2200ext expansion module.

The users are set as BLF on the expansion module
When a user switches to DND, their light doesn't switch to Red.

Any way to change this?

I have tried manually programing the expansion board to BLF and presence watcher.

Presence Watcher doesn't give me a light
BLF gives me a green light for all extension status. goes red when user on phone

Grandstream says I should use PresenceWatcher. I don't think 3CX handles this

After doing some tests with Grandstream. it appears that 3CX isn't sending the presence events to the phone.

looking through the forums, this appears to have be an issue for years. I am so glad that I "upgraded" from my Elastix system.

It is not an "issue". It's how 3CX is built. It doesn't have the "SIP Presence" capability because they have the Webclient with their own Presence system.

Only BLFs and Call Park BLF can work on 3CX.

BLFs monitor Call State, not Presence.

So it will tell you if an extension is in a call, or ringing or idle

Some system uses the light to turn red when DND as well. Just as indication for the users.

Understood, but DND is not a call state because there is no call session involved so we do not monitor it.

If you wish to monitor more like the current presence status, please use the 3CX clients instead

Is there still a Windows Desktop swtichboard app or just the webclient?
Is there a deskphone that is supported for expansion board that will display the DND status?

Deskphone no, but Windows app yes:



As you see here, extension named "D765 Snom" has DND status and the BLF side panel shows them as red
