Solved Group Rights for Default Group has no effect

At our company every extension is a member of the default group which does not publish group information to all extensions and everyone is a member of a department group which publish group information and are used to take over calls within that group.

I want to give every member of the helpdesk the rights to perform receptionist operations, for that I have set the helpdesk people as manager for the default group and enabled perform receptionist operations for managers.

The options to chage satus etc do not appear for the helpdesk people.

Am I doing something wrong?

Is there a better way to do this, without giving out access to the management console?

I am running the latest version of 3CX on a Server 2019 VM.

Where are you look for change status

Check the receptionist view with 3CX application - https://www.3cx.com/user-manual/web-client/

I think you have the options in the webclient, as I do not use it not sure where

They don't need management console rights. Are you using the webclient or the Windows client?

thanks for the answers. I am using the webclient.

The people in the IT group can set the status of other people in the IT group, which is a right I set for all members of that group.

But the managers of the Default group cannot set the status of anyone in the Default group.

Review the settings please in this case because this does not sound right. When I use the same settings as from your screenshot, I can easily change the Status of others by clicking the 3 dots.

Hello John,

I did some additional testing.

If I enable show presence to group members under manager rights, the people with manager rights appear in the default group in the webclient and can have their status set.

I need to enable show presence to group members for users of the default group to be able to set their status.
