Group Voicemail Record Prompt

Hi

I've been trying to find a definitive answer for this. How would you record a group voicemail prompt for a ring group?

Hello @Elliot Cater

If you want to forward Ring Group unanswered calls to a voicemail, you need to create a dummy extension for this and in the Ring Group Settings >> "Destination if no answer" forward it to the voicemail of that extension. Now on the dummy extension Settings >> Voicemail, under "Manage Voicemail Greetings" record the prompt that you want the callers to hear.

Thanks for the reply.

This whole ring group voicemail seems like a bit of a hack. It's a shame the voicemail can't be forwarded to all the extensions from a ring group, instead of just firing an email to everyone in the group.
