so I setup the 3cx phone system with patton analog port boxes and everything is great for the most part... there are little irritations that i was working on but my issue now is that the 3cx website claims that the gxp2170 is a supported phone... but when I log into the management console it is claiming that the phone with the most current version of firmware is not supported... which is it?

the only thing I've been unable to resolve yet is the call history on the phone.... where they don't seem to keep an accurate history of missed and received calls. any ideas on why those logs would be missing so much info?

It's both. 3CX supports the GXP2170 but only when use with the 3CX provided templates and the current 3CX supported firmware which isn't always the most current firmware from Grandstream. If you read carefully you'll see that the 'Not Supported xxxx' section is in the Fw. Version column on the phone page. Provided you have a current license, selecting the phone(s) and then clicking the '+Firmware' button at the top should resolve the issue.

Following the guide here generally also puts you on the correct version.
