I have what I think should be a simple issue:

Enviornments:
- All customers on Yealink t42s, t46s, or t48s
- All are with a 3rd party provider
- All phones books stopped working
- I found root issue, phonebook URL has https:// in all of them, but it needs to be http://
- If I manually change it to http:// it will work
- Vendor updated template and it correctly shows http://
- I login to phones, select auto provision now, or reboot phone, but it doesn't change URL from https:// to http://

Vendor now says we have to manually login to each phone and do this ourselves. Can someone with more knowledge of 3CX help me understand why that value is not being updated correctly during a phone reboot or forced auto-provision command?

Have you tried factory resetting a phone to see if it applies the template correctly? Not sure why the phone book would stop working unless something else was changed. That's where I would put my focus.

Here is what is happening:
1. Users click on Phone book, then remote phone book
2. They receive an error message stating unable to download remote phonebook
3. I login to the phone, look at the location URL of the remote phonebook
4. If it starts with https://phonesystem.cloud.com/yealink_phonebook.xml it will not work
5. If I change https:// to http:// it will work
6. My remote vendor who handles the 3CX system told me they fixed it by updating all templates to update to http:// so I don't have to manually go into 500 phones and do this
7. But their template isn't working - meaning, it doesn't auto update https:// to http:// even though I can clearly see on the 3CX phone systems the template is setup correctly.
8. If I factory reset the phone, or manually update the URL to http:// phone book downloads and opens like normal because it does update to http
9. If I login to the phone and reboot it, or click on autoprovision now, it will not update that field to http

Please read the link in post #3 again, and provide us details of your setup so we can understand where the phones are in relation to the PBX. Sounds like your HTTPS port is closed so no amount of template editing will help in this case, as the templates are not reachable either (they also go over HTTPS).
