Hide phonebook entries for certain extensions

Hi all,

We have a case where we need to hide certain phonebook entries for specific extensions.
So in the rooms of the hotel we have ip dect phones. Now all the guests can see the full phonebook (bar, reception, back-office, IT,...)
But we would like it to be an option to make it so that the guests can only see certain items. But the tricky part is that we want the personels phones to show all phonebook items.

Are there any options to get this to work?

Hi Florian,

Such an option does not exist unfortunately.

What I could recommend as a workaround, is to hide all extensions from everyone so that no one can see anyone:

..and then in the few phones that the staff use, you can manually enter some extensions in their phones local phonebook. This depends on the phone brand/model you are using, some might have a separate local phonebook that is not overwritten by the 3CX phonebook.
