Hi ,
why in holidays settings we have first year available for choice to 2016 ? is it an obvious reason I 'm not able to understand or is it something not refreshed during updates?

Good to know John :p, i love when small wrong things can be fixed, this one included:)

For "future" reference, please note that the laws of physics only allow forward time travel

lots of series and fiction films use return in the past in their stories :p so why not in mysterious holiday feature included in 3cx:D

is it possible to export/import holidays settings from existing PBX to a new one?

Only via Backup/Restore. Not from live installations that are already working

this is a pain when you need to replicate same settings on several PBX, could it be added something in console to be able to do thisin future release?

Although I'm not 100% sure on this one because I have not yet tested it, you can use the setupconfig.xml method when deploying https://www.3cx.com/docs/configure-pbx-automatically/

If you wanna test this, I guess it would take the same form as the PBX configuration XML on a live system so you can copy and paste it to see if it works.

XML:
<OfficeHolidays>
                <OfficeHoliday>
                    <HolidayPrompt>Christmas.wav</HolidayPrompt>
                    <Name>Christmas Holidays</Name>
                    <Day>25</Day>
                    <Month>12</Month>
                    <Year>0</Year>
                    <IsRecurrent>True</IsRecurrent>
                    <DayEnd>25</DayEnd>
                    <MonthEnd>12</MonthEnd>
                    <YearEnd>0</YearEnd>
                    <TimeOfStartDate>00:00:00</TimeOfStartDate>
                    <TimeOfEndDate>23:59:00</TimeOfEndDate>
                </OfficeHoliday>
                <OfficeHoliday>
                    <HolidayPrompt>NewYear.wav</HolidayPrompt>
                    <Name>New Years Holidays</Name>
                    <Day>26</Day>
                    <Month>12</Month>
                    <Year>0</Year>
                    <IsRecurrent>True</IsRecurrent>
                    <DayEnd>31</DayEnd>
                    <MonthEnd>12</MonthEnd>
                    <YearEnd>0</YearEnd>
                    <TimeOfStartDate>00:00:00</TimeOfStartDate>
                    <TimeOfEndDate>23:59:00</TimeOfEndDate>
                </OfficeHoliday>
            </OfficeHolidays>

@JohnS_3CX
Need some more details and clarifications to really understand what i need to do to test if it works or not.

  1. Is this process supposed to be done only when a new pbx install is done or even if pbx is already running?
  2. If i paste example lines above in an xml file, could I name it for example: holidays.xml ? or file name has to be something 3CX already wait for?
  3. When xml file is created how to import in 3cx?

This is only for new deployments, not for existing systems. See according to linked guide above

It needs to be pasted in the setupconfig.xml file, say after the outbound rules section

I have not tested it to be perfectly honest, was offering as a suggestion if you want to test it yourself.

Ok thanks John for details, so at this time i prefer to make a backup with no FQDN and licence key and use it as a template PBX for new installs

Why aren't we being forced to vote on this tiny fix?

Hi @craigreilly ,
sorry, you want to vote about what ? my previous answer?

It was a joke. They always tell us we have to vote about every little request.

Ok good ,I understand quickly but must explain myself a long time :p.
