We are trying to interface our existing Valcom paging system with our new 3cx phone system/Patton sn4324 24 port FXS analog gateway.
The old phone system had lines running from the paging zone into a Valcom Page Port v-1094a
Whenever we define a port on the sn4324 for the new paging zone and run it to the Valcom paging system, a dial tone is broadcasted over the speakers.
I worked with Patton support, and we disabled dial-tone, release tone, and congestion tone for the ports on the fxs that will be handling the paging zones.
We can hook the page port up to the patton fxs port without anything being broadcasted over the speakers, but when we attempt to dial the page zone, we get a busy tone as if its off the hook.
I do believe the Valcom page port just acts as a speaker and just leaves the line open. It seems as if our old system kept the paging zone on hook until the zone was dialed, and the patton gateway does not have the ability to actually answer/hang up the incoming signal?
