Hi All,

We're considering moving to 3CX phone system, and I was wondering if there is a way to cluster 2x 3CX setups based on windows server? I found for Linux (Debian, Rasperi Pi) something called SBC Cluster Node, but no info regarding Windows based setup.

Many thanks

Thanks @Saqqara,

It seems that on-pre to cloud is not supported "A failover from an on-premise host to a cloud host and vice versa is not supported.".
We basically want to have 1x server in cloud (Azure, or AWS...), and 1x hosted on-premise (Office), but doesn't seem possible...

You setup will not work, as the physical phone setup will be different -

3cx cloud, requires sbc server and the setup of the phones are different to local phones on the same network as the 3cx server

if you are using 3cx apps (softphone, mobile) it is not an issue, you can have one local and another in the cloud

ask yourself do you need a ha setup - could you not setup the 3cx local as a debian virtual machine and back this up and in the event of an issue just restore the image.

how many extensions are you going to have

It could be made to work, you just have to understand the pieces involved. There's nothing saying you can't put an SBC in a local environment (I haven't tried it) so you connect in the same fashion as the cloud. You could also create a VPN tunnel to a cloud environment so the phones are considered local in both cases.

Keep in mind that 'not supported' is not the same as 'will not work'. There's just a lot more environmental concerns that come into play (network design, DNS, etc) that are outside of what 3CX wants to support. That's where partners come in.
