Hi All

I am hoping for pointers. Have 3CX on SBC running fine at the main office and also have another set up in another city. Both sites run PBX Express on Azure and 3CX SBC on a local server - built just for SBC. Both are independent of each other and both have hot desking enabled and working.

Question is there a way of getting staff in site A to be able to hot desk at site B and vise versa?

What do I need to allow cross county hotdesking using desk phones?

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if this will work, as you specify the local SBC server under the phone configuration. Extensions can not have multiply SBC servers.

Is this not possible then?

I have two independent systems (SBCs) in two countries with bridging enabled, can see presence for each other. Can call each using the extension numbers

Is hot desking for users of each site to their sister office not possible at all?

Hi @MH-Nottingham

This is not possible even if the two systems are bridged. The reason is because:

  1. When a user logs in, the phone is reprovisioned by the PBX on the fly
  2. The PBX can only provision extensions that belong it, not extensions that come through bridges because it does not own them and has no control over them.

Bridges are ways to pass calls, but they do not allow you to control extensions on the other side.

Perhaps you can have the users connect via the 3CX Client?
