I know it's a CID rules but how do you tell the value for unknown and private caller ID? I want these to be rejected by the phone system.

Marai,

Still not working. I checked my call logs and it comes up like this :USER (@(Ln.10000@Flowroute))

I have added both *nonymous and *nknown.

Not sure why they keep coming in.

@rjamesm2884

Maybe add USER and user as well.
See if that works.

Nope, doesn't work. I was able to add a wildcard * by it self then it blocks every call and we don't want that.

I even tried reformatting incoming calls ( ) and giving it a number then blocking that number in blacklist and nothing.
Not sure what else to do.

Hi @rjamesm2884 ,

Often your SIP/VoIP provider can block anonymous calls as well, possibly try having them blocked further upstream than your PBX?

I called them and we are trying to figure this out. They claim they can't do it on their end.

From your post detailing the SIP information it almost looks like Flowroute is handing you 'no' number when it's anonymous?

So possibly try "()" as the CallerID (without the quotes), in theory this should only match numbers which are 0 digits long (Which is normally a silly thing to ask to match, but possibly is what you're being handed based on your post above).

I have no way of testing, all of our SIP providers hand over a number or label, so it's just a hunch.

More info on CID reformatting here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/cid-reformatting/

Yes I tried reformatting the CID. I added ( ) with a space, I need to test without the space.

I use Flowroute also. These are the rules I have for blocking. I believe Flowroute delivers the call as Private, hence why I have both.

@HRMNY Just tried those and still the call comes through. We are just not getting anything from Flowroute.

@pact I also tried () no luck.

On the Dashboard, go to Activity Log then click Settings. Choose Verbose, click Ok.
On the Dashboard, go to Services, choose 3CX PhoneSystem 01 System Server, click Restart

Make an anonymous call and see what the log shows under Activity Log.

Last step 3CX PhoneSystem 01 System Server that service is running

Now i'm getting From: ":my name"<sip:127.0.0.1:5060;nf=e>;tag=1240df7f

This is what it shows. From: <sip:[email protected]>;tag=gK0428854f

I turned off my block rules and see then same thing on my PBX.

When put the rules back, it blocks the call as it should. Not sure why it's failing for you.

Just confirming, are you putting these rules in Setttings -> Blacklist, or in Inbound Rules -> Add CID Rule?

Guys it's working now
I guess it took awhile for the settings to kick on but anonymous calls are being block
