@Smallguy
What pitfalls are there when hosting on Google Cloud opposed to 3CX would be my next question...?
Anyone?
>> well things with Google are not that simple and its not a straight forward answer.
You will also have to calculate the "egress" traffic from the machine towards the endpoints.
Google charges the upload, not the download.
So if a client tries to Register to the PBX, this is download for the machine but when the machine replies with 200 OK in order the Registration to occur ( or presence for example ) then this is upload for Google and it gets charged.
Or if you upload backups to SFTP for example every day, these are all charged as its "upload" from the machine.
So these have to be calculated also..
How easy is it to switch from 3cx Hosted (after the 1st. free hosted yr) to Self Hosted at Google...?
>> You will have to take full backup of your PBX, download it at your site and when you will setup your new PBX at your own infrastructure, then you will restore it on top.
For an E2 Medium you have selected, in Netherlands DC ( 1 cCPU + 4G RAM + 10G Disk space only ) the cost is about this ( approximately ) :
With 3cx Hosting pricing is fixed and you won't have to worry about network upload or disk space as these are included to the price of the license :
