Hi,

Is there a way that i can link the call recordings in my CRM, so i can play the recordings in my CRM itself.

Kindly let me know the possibilities.

Regards,
Jijo

Hi Santos,

I am not using Zendesk. I am using my custom CRM build with PHP.

I am inserting call time, duration and other details. Only thing missing is call recording.

Can you please assist.

Thanks
Jijo

The solution provided by @edossantos works. No matter the CRM. It's just a simple PHP file to search recordings in the folder using the info you have.

You can also do the other way around where you have a small agent software watching the recordings folder, and you send that to an API to upload it to your CRM. For this, multiple solutions exist.

I can't keep up with Frederick. The first thing to recognize is that recordings are simply .wav files stored in a folder with a name matching the extension number that recorded the call. Example:

/101/mycallrecording.wav

As Frederick suggested, a FileSystemWatcher could be used to notify you when a new recording is created. But keep in mind that the recording file is created as soon as the call starts and continues to be written to until the call is disconnected. So you can get the file name and post that to your CRM, but you can not do anything with the physical file until the recording is completed.

Where this becomes challenging is when the 3CX server is hosted externally (AWS, Google, Azure, etc.). We wrote a relay that monitors for new recordings and generates events we can subscribe to, as well as REST APIs we use to manage the files (including download recordings). You would likely need to do something similar VoIPTools REST API.
