How to charge users based on call volume?

Hi 3CX Community,

We want to charge ring group users based on the number of call they receive. For example, if a ring group has received 30 calls in a month, then no fee applied, and if they have received any extra call, then we will charge $1 per extra call.

In summary, if in a month they have received 40 calls, then 30 calls will be free of charge, and we will charge 10 extra calls for $10.

Can you advise how to achieve this with 3CX?

3CX provides you with a way to record CDRs which you can then use in any manner you wish to make your calculations.

I concur with JohnS_3CX. 3CX can create optional CDR files (one file per call). This file contains a summary of the call and lists every extension that touched the call. Further, I believe if you have assigned a cost to calls in 3CX, it includes the calculated cost of the call.

This data can be parsed and saved in a database, then you can use the reporting tool of your choice to build the needed reports (invoices). Perhaps the only challenge is gaining access to the CDR files if your 3CX is hosted. Our 3CX Exporter tool can automatically download, parse, and insert records into a SQL or MySQL database.
