How to disable 3CX appliance firewall

Hello,

I am troubleshooting phone issues and would like to disable the built in firewall that came with the 3CX appliance. How would I do that?

Firewall on what version? 3CX has security measures to block attempted registrations, and other hacker intrusions, but it is not a proper firewall as such.

And what 3cx appliance? I didn't know an appliance version existed.

Oh - so really just the same thing.... they are calling it an appliance for some reason.
As Leejor mentioned, 3cx does not have a firewall.
There is the Windows firewall... or your network router or network firewall.

I believe the 'appliance' is Debian, but if you do iptables -L, it does show rules are configured which is something I didn't do. There is no way within the system to temporarily disable this to rule out any possibility this is causing issues in my environment with phones dropping registration status?

Are phones and PBX in the same lan?
Are the phones on the list of supported phones?
The iptables should be what 3cx recommends. And if the phone is registering in the first place, then dropping, it is not the iptables.

If you used the 3CX ISO then the basic IP tables rules were automatically configured for you. This is done on the OS level though so if you need to remove them (not recommended) you will need to do so through SSH. As mentioned if the phones register in the first place then the issue is not with the IP tables.
