How to generate a dialtone via 3CX?

Indeed 3CX doesnt have this feature which is why Halea has done what he has I guess. I'm pleased to see he has used his HT488 which he wasnt happy with last year.

I know this is off topic, but in the absence and not wishing to use a PBX at the time, I've used a HT486 and HT488 FXS/FXO back to back arrangement for about 4 years to allow Dial in Dial out particularly when I need to call the US from my mobile here in the UK. I've even cascaded them to give me the option to pick a line/account out.

Perhaps its a very usefull option to include in 3CX, as presently one other way is to have a preset forward on unregistered extensions, which can be called from DR, this can be on a dedicated incoming number/line. You can have several numbers allocated to unregistered extensions. Not quite as flexible of course as the HT dialtone, but it doeas allow more than one call to handled.

I just did this with a spare SPA-3102. It works great!!!!!

Maybe some method of sending a text to 3CX with a number to dial. 3cx could ring your mobile or CLI of SMS, wait for connection then dial the number originalting from inside the text including a pin of some sort... Not sure if 3cx could be made to handle SMS messages.. Or maybe i'm completely off the point....(or Plot)

An actual DISA port option would be a nice feature. You can use the "9" option in Voicemail to access the advanced features then dial back out again but if you are calling from the outside, then going to voicemail you have to get to the point where you are asked for your PIN, then you have access to all the VM options.

yes it works great. call home, dial 999 for voice mail. enter ext number, pin. then press 9, then 3 and then the phone number you want to reach
