Hello,
We are trying to connect our ip phone to 3cx system. Our phone has CLIR feature, which means the caller's id can be hidden from the called to see. But on 3cx, INVITE with anonymous caller is rejected. Both the caller and called are registered to 3CX. Could you please tell us, how could we do to hide the caller's id?

Hi,
Thank you for your information. But the links above seem talking about outgoing call through trunk. How about local calls? And on our system, if you dial *5xxxx, it is rejected with 404.

By local calls are you talking about extension to extension?

The rejection you are seeing is probably due to you outbound rules please check you have one that matches.

You will need to strip the preceding digits obviously.

Local calls means extension to extension without a trunk or bridge.

Exactly why I wanted clarification - can you confirm your user case ? IE: why would you want to do this ?

Are you trying to multi tenant 3CX by any chance ? as this is the only reason I can think.

It's the existed feature of our phone. We just try to do the compatible tests. If 3cx doesn't support it, we can put it in our test report.

why would you want/need to block id of an internal call? just curious...
