How to make 3CXPhone default dialer in Windows

How can I make the 3CX phone my default dialler in Windows 7 ?

I have tried changing the registry entry ;

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\HandoffPriorities::RequestMakeCall

but still Skype pops up when I click a phone link.

Pardon what may sound like a stupid question, but are you talking about Windows 7 on your PC or is this Windows 7 Phone?

This might be worth a go... I read somewhere else about someone having trouble with Skype and Outlook, (but it was the same problem... Skype hijacking the dialler) and it worked. I'm quoting from the other forum:

When I reinstalled Skype, I UNchecked Skype’s Click to Call option. I am now able to have my Skype and dial out my VOIP phone with Outlook.

You might have to uninstall and re-install Skype AND 3CX, but that doesn't sound like too big a deal if it fixes the problem.
