Solved how to remove the '3CX Phone System' in emails?

I've dug around, it's not in the email templates, parameters...

If you are using the "free" 3CX SMTP servers this is inserted by those systems. To get around it you will need a Pro or Ent license key and your own SMTP server so you have more control of the sending email address. Changing the sending "name" is still difficult, as I don't believe this is supported in the default templates.

You might be able to hack it a couple different ways on the recipient side. For example with Office 365 if you make an Email contact and add it to the Global Address Book I believe it will use the address book display name.

I'm using a pro license and even when sending via gmail's smtp this shows up. I don't believe this is inserted by their mta, but inserted by the PBX as a result.

I was afraid I'd have to do some stmp/mta trickery to scrape that out.

The Template edit page has a From field but 3CX doesn't seem to honor it, at least when I tested editing the voicemail template.

Attached is a screen shot of an email from one of our systems using a custom SMTP server.

From only includes the Reply To email address specified in the setup.

However, some emails will still include 3CX Phone System in the Subject line.

We get this result using a Gsuite account and using a third party SMTP relay. We have not done any template or parameter modifications.

@danderson - is this different that what you are seeing?

Ok, so this took 2 changes. First, switch off the 3CX SMTP server, second set the 'FROM' field in the email template.

It appears that the From field is ignored on the 3CX SMTP server.
