How to route all inbound international calls?

Hello everyone

I want to route all inbound calls coming from international numbers to a specific end point.

Do I navigate to: Inbound Rules>Add CID Rule> and use the Caller ID field?

All international inbound calls have a caller id that starts with + (plus symbol) eg: +12482780942

So somehow I need to detect if the caller id starts with + right? or is there a more accurate way to do it?

Depends on how local numbers are displayed. In Germany all numbers starts with +. But than its the right way i think.

I'm in Australia and all our local numbers are 10 digits and start with 0.

So how exactly do I write this rule?

I suspect you will only be able to do this if you are able to use a wildcard on the first few digits (in your case, just the +) of the incoming number.
In the example show here...

They have a wildcard being used to replace the leading digits, selecting a single number, no mater the received format, which won't work for you.
If it is allowed, then to catch all international numbers, assuming your provider does send a + on those, you would have to use a rule like +*

I made a CID rule with +*

and will test it out.

Its not working. I have about 5 dial in phone numbers and 4 sip trunks. I want this to apply to any phone number that receives an international phone call

I clicked Inbound Rules>+ Add CID Rule>





According to this international phone numbers (starting with +* wildcard) should go to extension 92
but they are not. Which I guess means this rule is not applying to any dial in number i have.

Can someone please tell me how to do this?

So i don't CID rule is the way to do it. Instead i'm going to try:
Users>Check each extension I want> Click Edit Button>Forwarding Rules Tab>Exceptions> Click +Add Rule Button
