Hi,

We are evaluating 3CX and decided to test it through Free Hosted plan. I have created a few extensions and registered mobile phone apps successfully. I am now trying to setup a Yealink T21P E2 (Firmware 52.84.0.90) but can not find documentation for this. The phone seems to be supported.

I have found the URL's below which both are talking about "Phones node" through the "3CX Management Console", which I don't know where to find.
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/manually-provision-yealink/
https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t20p-t22p-t26p-t28p/

When I login to 3CX Portal, there is not such thing as "Management Portal"

My questions are;
- Can I use IP Phones with the Free Hosted acoount ?
- If yes, is there any documantation on how to setup IP Phones ?

Regards.

Is it a Hosted 3CX or a Hosted StartUP? StartUP don't have management console nor IP phones at the moment as it is still Alpha.

Hosted 3CX is the full-fledge software. You would find the phones under the Users > ext > Phone Provisioning > Add+.

I see,

Thanks for the quick reply. It is the Startup package. That means, I'll have to switch to Self-Managed. After doing so, will I be able to register/configure remote (different countries) IP Phones easily or do I also need to setup SBC service/server at each site of the IP Phones ?

Regards.

You can use STUN if you have only 1-2 remote phones per location, but yes a self-managed will allow it.

You can still have it Hosted by 3CX.

Hi,

Once you switch, please follow the guide and upgrade your firmware to our supported version before provisioning the phone.

Also note that we recommend using an SBC at each site (which should make things lot easier for you).
