I have setup a Grandstream HT801 on my hosted PBX. I can pickup and dial any extension and it can be dialed. I cannot, however, make an outbound call nor receive inbound calls. Inbound calls go to voicemail and outgoing get a fast busy after dialing. I have a SIP trunk for the DID and it is registered successfully. If I look at my phones, the Grandstream shows as new with a loopback IP address. I've setup the fax and fax server as instructed. What am I missing?

Hi,

Taking a wild guess, but the HT801 isn't provisioned properly from the sounds of it.

1. Upgrade to the latest firmware from Grandstream's website, then factory reset it.

2. In the FXS DECT page, make 100% that you have set it to SBC mode and have selected an SBC (mandatory - it wont work on hosted without an SBC! If you don't have one you will have to setup an SBC at your office first).

3. Then assign your extensions from the 2nd tab and press OK to save everything before you generate the new config file.

4. You can now go back and generate the config file, then upload it to your freshly reset and upgraded device. Upon reboot, it should now start working fine.

If I look at my phones, the Grandstream shows as new with a loopback IP address.
This you can safely ignore, select it and hit the Reject button on top if you want to make it go away.

Thanks for the reply. The fast busy was because I didn't add the extension to the outbound rules. It is now working as expected.
