"Import provider" missing when trying to do new sip-connection?
Missing from following versions:
Version 20.0 Update 2 (Build 711 Beta)
Version 20.0 Update 2 (Build 715 Release)

Is available on version:
Version 20.0 Update 1 (Build 731 Release)

Is it coming back or anyway to downgrade?

Its still there: 1720527009562.png

Thats screenshot from my system.. no buttons there..
System is 3cx hosted.

Hi @Mikko Puurunen

On 3CX Hosted Machine it's not possible to import a provider's template.

Thats nice....

So this rendered 3cx totally unusable. Why this was removed?
This was available v20 update 1 and prior to that too.

We need this because we need to change outbound parameters to support our sip-trunk. In V18 it was nice to change those parameters directly to options in sip-trunk.

It looks that this comes to apple product so nothing can be changed.

Any suggestions any other cloud based pbx???

Just do self hosted, there you have every option.

3CX is the best product you'll find. It's simple, reliable, and stable. If your provider isn't listed among the available options, it might be a sign that you should choose a provider who has completed the Interop tests with 3CX. Don't blame 3CX for being reliable and stable. Regarding the "Hosted by 3CX" option, it's normal for 3CX to have even more control. 3CX is committed to ensuring the system's reliability and availability. If they allowed anyone to modify settings that could lead to a host of other issues, the system would behave unpredictably, and you would blame 3CX for not being stable.

If you want more control, host it yourself, as @bitn2 mentioned.

Now, regarding the customization options that were removed: they haven't been removed, but rather, the configurations that are no longer available are general settings that should always remain consistent to comply with the SIP standard (RFC).

If you need to customize settings that are no longer available, it’s likely that your provider isn't following the "SIP standard" and/or isn't compliant with the RFC.

I hope this clarifies the confusion on the matter.

Couldn't said it better! Using a supported provider is so much easier, and both side can support you when needed, if ever!

We would all love to use supported providers, but what happens when here in Canada, not a single CLEC is supported? All of the supported options are resellers, and most of them are US based. If you want the best in quality - then get CLECs on board. In the meantime, the tighter and tighter restrictions on hosted instances are making the hosted option less and less attractive.

VoiceMeUP is based in Canada, with their servers physically hosted in two data centers in Montreal.
VoiceMeUp is not a CLEC, I agree, but they are a reseller of CLEC services. This gives you the advantage of being able to make outgoing calls through any CLEC, not just the one associated with your phone number. Therefore, even if a CLEC experiences an outage, at minimum, outgoing calls will continue to function.

Additionally, you can even select the CLEC of your choice for phone number portability. The process is completely transparent. Even better, you can distribute numbers across different CLECs, meaning if your client has two numbers, you can request that VoiceMeUp places them with two different CLECs to ensure service accessibility in case of an outage.

And I can assure you that VoiceMeUp's requirements for CLECs are very high. They have all undergone high-level interop testing, and the quality of services is continuously monitored. In the event of a decrease in call success rates, they do not let it pass.

In Canada, use VoiceMeUp/Beevox. Best provider there.

I'm sure they are quite good, but it would more than double our costs in comparison to our current provider. But in any case, more my point is that we all understand what "unsupported" means. In hosted instances, it of course makes sense to block access to the command line and other things that would mess with the stability of 3CX, but using an "unsupported" provider doesn't affect the stability of 3CX.

In general, iLEC and cLEC does not serve direct customers other than with their own systems/offer for SIP trunking. They only provide services to wholesales because it is easier to serve high-volume customers for SIP Trunking due to the complexity of supporting all kinds of systems.

I can confirm that we have direct interconnects with all major Canadian iLEC and cLEC and you can easily get an account with either VoiceMeUp (Retail customer) or BeeVox (Wholesale / Reseller).

We are also 3CX Solutions Provider as well as Supported SIP trunk.
