I would like to hear some cases where the 3cx pbx was actually put in a live small business environment that wasn't owned or ran by a relative. and what end device was used (i.e. softphone, Grandstream...) I just curious. And what country

Country: Australia
Company: funny enough, Dutch Digital Dynamics
Owned: Well by me :-).
Offices: 3 remote sites one PBX all on same network segment (as I own the network infrastructure between the offices)
Employees: Depending on type of project can range from 3 up to 200+

Equipment:
Server: Dell PowerEdge (servicing multiple apps including 3CX)
Switch: Netgear smart switches
Routers: Billion, DLink (wired and wireless).
Network: Mixture of 8Mbs, 54Mbs, 100Mbs, 1000Mbs.
Phones: AT530, AT530P and HP 6965 (SIP and WiFi currently under review)
ATA: Lynksys (is there any other? :-) One pstn line, one DID line seem that is all we need as we do a lot of mobile phone traffic. We are investigating a GSM gateway posibility into 3CX.
Traffic type: VoIP, Video and Data
Traffic control: QoS, ToS.
Average phone calls: approx 20 ph (and increasing now i am spending some time with 3CX). Switching between PSTN and DID, not including Mobile.

There are several businesses here in AU currently in the process of implenting or building upon the 3CX software. Commercial confidentiality restricts me too name them.
If they are on the forum they can speek for them self.

If you looking for some references if this application is able to work in a real environment. Well we run everything through 3CX and we have not had any problems. So from my point of view the application is small business ready, enterprise will not be long from now but I would not recommend that as yet simply because i have not done a load test on the application so I cannot recommend what I do not know. :-).

NICE! whats your calls per/hr? any issues with the config setup? whats your hardware in the pbx i.e. Memory, Processor....

Hardware: The 3cx box has its own server. HP P4 2.8 ghz 512 mb ram. Works fine. Not too much call at the same time. We hit max. around 4 concurrent at the same time.

Sound quality perfect with Ploycom hard phone. For softphone it will be Eyebeam.
Gateway is using Welltech WG3804A, Audio Code MP-114, DLINK DVG7022S and Grandstream HT-488.

No big issue found before. Only Grandstream HT-488 under NAT seems not stable, it may be our ISP issue.

We will test T1/E1 line soon. 200 PSTN number and 23 concurrent calls.

Lol, about time (Just kidding).

Looks like you got the setup i think is one of the better ones. Good stuff.

Your exchange integration, is that full eg you use the Exchange IVR or only the voice mail bit.
