I don't want to experiment live on a customer and unfortunately, my cell phone doesn't have cname so this is hard to test.

right now, in default config on a 'generic' trunk, calls come in with /sip trunks/trunk/inbound parameters set as:
CalledNum = to:user part
CallerName = from: user part
CallerNum = from: user part.

and that shows on the phone as something like

5555555555:MainRingGroup:5555555555

I'd like this to show the name like

Acme:MainRingGroup:5555555555

What is the appropriate setting?

I think I need to change CallerName to 'From : Display Name' but again, I can't test right now. Anyone confirm?

I think you may be changing the outbound parameters. You can edit incoming caller ID number, and attach a ring group or queue name. But not with those options. You should be able to append or prepend (or not show at all) the Ring group or queue name. Could it be that the number is being sent twice, once in the numeric (number) field, and once in the name field? You can confirm by checking the 3CX Activity Log, for one of the calls. If a name is not being sent, you can only add a (callers) name by putting it, along with the matching number, in the company directory.

Hello @dandenson

If the provider is actually sending a name in the From:Display Name then yes that is what you need to change as you now have the 2 fields reading from the same value. But if the provider is not sending a name you will probably get an empty value.
