Hello,

My outbound calls are working just fine but when I try to call in it kicks back a 407 Proxy Authentication Required Message. I have my SIP trunk configured with no authentication so I'm wondering if there is another setting somewhere that is making this happen.

Thank you,
Oze

You might want to list the provider you are using in the chance that someone else, on the forum, has had experience with them and the settings required.

My provider is Level 3 so i am using the Generic Provider with authentication set to Do not require - IP based.

I have copied the log sent by my provider showing the 407 response.

Hi Oz,

This code is similar to 401 - Unauthorized, but indicates that the client should first authenticate with a proxy server. The same discussion applies to error 407 as to error 401, except that an additional proxy server is involved for 407.

Regards

MRM,

Is this error popping up due to a setting in the 3CX?

Oze
