I have to redirect/forward incoming fax to an outside number (fax service).

in 3CX v18 i have set in "inbound rules" for a specific DID an rule to "forward to outside number".

When someone sends a fax, the fax service gets to see our 3cx main phone number. The fax is received without issues. Nevertheless, we can not see who sent the fax.

The desirable solution would be to pass on to the outside fax service the original caller's ID (e.g. +49123456789) instead of the PBX own phone number (e.g. +498950000-0).
is there a way to make this possible? This used to be possible in ISDB PBX with CLIP.

if this is not possible, how can i at least pass on the "Outbound Caller ID" of our fax number that received that fax (e.g. +4950000-99).

Hi @chrisbeam,

Which provider are you using? If your provider supports Clip No Screening, then you should be able to change the SIP Trunk's Outbound Parameters >> From : Display Name to OriginatorCallerID and test. If it's not that parameter, you can try and change the From : User Part. First I'd find out from your provider and the provider of the service you're forwarding the fax to, to see what they accept.
