The Community Radio station I help out with has six inbound trunks. (xx) xxxx 2777 has three single call trunks (503, 504, 505). (xx) xxxx 2888 has another three single call trunks (500, 501, 502). We are trying to have any call on (xx) xxxx 2777 go to call group x611, and any call on (xx) xxxx 2888 go to a call group on x612. What we are seeing is that we can only have a single call on (xx) xxxx 2777 and a single call on (xx) xxxx 2888 active at a time.

This used to work on the old analog phone system with an ATA to make it VOIP, but is now not working

I have configured each of the six trunks to route to x611 or 612 as appropriate under the SIP Trunks menu. I initially set the Main Trunk Number to something unique, but have since changed that to (xx) xxxx 2777/2888 as appropriate.

I have also tried creating two inbound rules, one for each trunk, but that hasn't worked either.

I am not sure what to try next. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Couple of questions.

From the last screenshot, you have configured each number as a sip trunk - you need to check with your voip provider if this is the setup or have there configured one sip trunk with associated DDI numbers.

If separate number, you need to check the activity logs to see what 3CX is seeing when you call that number.

If DDI numbers, you need to delete all sip trunks except the main number and add DDI numbers.- https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/ On the DDI setup you can use * in the DDI number field i.e. *54321 will detect 987654321, this will overcome the number be presented to 3CX (check activity log being passed to 3CX)

Hi

It looks like you set the simultaneous calls to 1, this does indeed mean that only one active call can run on each trunk.

In addition, it also depends on your provider how many incoming calls they can accept per DID or trunk.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry about the delay. It was overnight and I wanted to get a test done during the day by someone on site. It seems that changing number of simultaneous calls to three seems to have fixed things. We will see what happens with outgoing calls.

I do appreciate the help so much. Thanks

Glad to hear. Outgoing calls are also governed by the sim. calls number, it does not differentiate between incoming or outgoing.

Also, you can set a prefix in your outbound rules to dial out from each specific trunk if you wish otherwise whichever rule matches first, will be the one used.
