incoming fax from inPhonex

can the 3cx be configured to receive faxes directly from a provider such as inPhonex? not pass thru but to the fax server on a dedicated DID? if so what special settings are needed on the line config. i want the faxes to be sent to the 3cx and delivered to email.

FAX feature should be works with VoIP gateways Only. eg Patton, AudioCode and etc ...... For VoIP provider should be not yet.

Hi there

This is unsupported, and untested...

...but to have SOME chance for this:

1. VOIP Provider must be set to NOT "PBX Delivers Audio" (this will most probably have a large effect for normal voice calls - so you must check this combination)
2. Firewall/NAT device must be able to forward signalling and media correctly
3. VoIP Provider must be delivering FAX using T.38 protocol - any other codec will NOT work.
