Hi all,

My company is looking at rolling out 3CX to replace our current Asterisk system and I am trying to determine if, when recordings are downloaded (i.e. from cloud to on-site storage and removed from the cloud), can these files still be searched and listened to via 3CX?
If not, is there a way to search through these files?

Thanks in advance :)

I encourage you to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager tool. We can archive your recordings to local on-prem storage from a hosted version of 3CX (except hosted by 3CX). We provide a web interface that makes it simple to find, play, download, email, and optionally delete recordings. In addition, you can add notes to the recording, get a full transcription of the entire recording, and score how the agent handled the call based on criteria you specify. Managers can only see recordings made by people they manage giving you granular control over what recordings people can see. We also provide an archive retention policy what helps you manage your storage by deleting old recordings automatically.

If you're talking about the "remote archiving feature" then yes, they are searchable and can be downloaded from the Management Console but they cannot be played directly from 3CX as you can with a normal recording. You will have to download the actual .wav file first.

Thanks Chris, that is just what we require.
