I'm relatively new to SIP/VoIP. I work for a company that uses tactical radios that are SIP capable. My plan is to host a local SIP server on a LAN to allow calling between radios and VoIP phones. That part is easy although I've not done it with 3CX yet (used Asterisk and Mizu PBX in the past). Then, I'd like to have a trunk to allow outbound/inbound calling to web-based phones e.g., something simple like Google Voice or whatever. My goal is NOT to set this up permanently for the company. It will be for demonstration purposes so we can showcase radio capabilities to our customers. If anyone is willing to help me set this up, I'd happily return the favor any way I can!

You'd have to get a trial key of Pro to install it locally if you wanted to run it that way. You get 3 months free.

Follow the getting started - Admin section from the right side of the forum and run through the links.

you may want to familiarise yourself with the training material to help you get a better understanding of how it works.

Other then that, you should employ a 3CX partner to set it up for you and help you out.
