Initiate call from Voicemail

Hello all.

I have checked the "Enable outgoing calls in Voicemail menu" setting in the Settings->General->Global Options tab, but each time I dial in to VM and try this system reports that the "call transfer failed". I am not sure why, I am following my outbound rules and have an available trunk.

Dialing through VM is the correct route you want to take, however you will now need to trouble shoot the tdo yo ansfer failed. What do you see in the server activity log?

I also added 9999 (VM) and 8000 (IVR) to the outbound rule's allowed extensions. No change in the log, transfer still fails.

This log would indicate that you have no outbound rules to handle this number.
 
That is what I thought as well. It can handle the route when the source is from an extension though, strips the '6' and prepends the '1' just fine:

I got it working by allowing calls from extensions 1000-9999 for the outbound rule. I had 8000 and 9999 allowed before. I wonder what extension it needs in that range. I don't want to open all of them for this OB rule. Process of elimination to follow...
