inst on server 2003 failed

service 3cx phonesystem terminates with message:
could not start 3cx phonesystem
error 1067: process terminated ubexpectedly

i've tried to install it on a 2003 server because the same service did not start ob xp workstation - so both 2003 and xp do not start

config can be done but do not register because this service is not running

only mg in server status:
19:07:23.015 >>> Log started >>>
19:07:23.031 SessionMgr::run ** Adding transports **

Any idea?

Do you have Live Communications Server installed and running? I do and I have an identical fault.

On XP have you tried to add the EXe related to the services to the Firewall expcetions?

On 2003 try adding the same EXE's to the DEP list.

Check if another software is using port 5060

Usually this happens when port 5060 is still in use. I suggest closing down all applications, then restarting the machine. Try to restart the phone system service. If it fails again, check if some software is using port 5060. You can do this by trying to connect to the port using telnet and see if you get a response. If you do, some other software is using the port and 3cx phone system would not start
